Colorista

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Colorista is a coloring app. You can use all of the coloring features without an account and without telling us who you are — your artwork stays on your device.

You only need an account if you want to take part in the community: publishing your artwork, liking someone else's, or reporting something. This policy explains what we collect in each case.

If You Just Color

No account is required and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number. Your coloring pages and progress are stored on your device only. Uninstalling the app removes them.

We still receive the automatic technical data described in Information Collected Automatically below.

If You Join the Community

  • Account identifiers: the app creates an anonymous account identifier when it first runs. The first time you publish, like or report, you sign in with Google or Apple, and we receive the email address associated with that sign-in. If you use Apple's “Hide My Email”, we only ever see the relay address Apple generates.
  • Profile information: a display name and a profile picture, both optional and both chosen by you. If you set no name, the app shows an automatically generated one.
  • Published artwork: the coloring you explicitly choose to publish. Publishing is always a deliberate action.
  • Community activity: posts you like, reports you file, and accounts you block.
  • Safety records: if content of yours is removed for breaking the Community Guidelines, or your account is suspended, we keep a record of it.

What Other People Can See

Only these are visible to other people in the app:

  • Artwork you have published, and the number of likes it has
  • Your display name and profile picture

Your email address is never shown. Reports and blocks are private — the person you report or block is not told, and nobody can see who reported or blocked whom.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Crash logs and diagnostics: to find and fix stability problems.
  • App activity: which screens and features are used, to understand usage patterns and improve the app.
  • Device and advertising identifiers: used for analytics and to serve the optional rewarded ads that unlock pages.
  • Device integrity checks: the app verifies with Google or Apple that requests come from a genuine, unmodified installation. This protects the community from automated abuse.
  • Purchase status: whether you have an active subscription. We never receive your payment card details — payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store.

How We Use This Information

  • To provide the app: sync the coloring page catalog, run the community feed, and keep your subscription active across your devices.
  • To keep the community safe: review reported content, enforce the Community Guidelines, and prevent suspended accounts and automated abuse.
  • To improve the app: analyze crashes, performance and usage patterns.
  • To show optional ads: rewarded ads that you choose to watch in order to unlock a page.

We do not sell your personal information.

Services We Use

We rely on the following providers, who process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase — sign-in, database and file storage for published artwork and profiles, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring and app integrity checks.
  • Google AdMob — rewarded ads. Where required, a consent form is shown before any personalized ads are served.
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription status.
  • Google and Apple sign-in — used only to verify your identity when you join the community.

Keeping and Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us.

Full instructions, and a complete list of exactly what is deleted and what is kept, are on our account deletion page.

We keep community data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes it — including your blocks, the posts you reported, and your moderation and suspension history.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. You can edit your display name and picture in the app, delete your account at any time, or contact us at colorista@vekt.dev to make a request.

Children's Privacy

Colorista is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
